Our Mission
Finding a financial advisor shouldn't require knowing the right people or paying for a referral service. The information about who is registered, where they work, and what credentials they hold is already public, stored in the SEC's Investment Adviser Registration Depository (IARD) and FINRA's BrokerCheck. We built AdvisorFinders to make that data easy to search.
Our goal is simple: give consumers a free, no-signup-required way to find verified, regulated financial advisors near them, and give those advisors a way to be found by the people who need them.
Where Our Data Comes From
Every advisor in our database is sourced from one of two public regulatory sources:
SEC IARD (Investment Adviser Registration Depository)
The official database of all Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs) registered with the SEC or state regulators. RIAs are legally required to act as fiduciaries.
FINRA BrokerCheck
FINRA's public database of registered brokers and broker-dealers. Includes licensing history, employment history, and any reported disciplinary actions.
We do not create, fabricate, or modify advisor data. All information is sourced directly from these public regulatory databases and refreshed regularly.
For Financial Advisors
If you're a registered advisor, your profile is already in our database. You can claim it to add your contact information, bio, and website, and upgrade to a featured listing to appear at the top of search results in your area.
